A Chinese matcha produced from certified organic crops at the Tai Shan Tea Plantation, located in the northwestern part of Zhejiang Province. Like high-quality Gyokuro, the selected tea bushes are shaded for a period prior to harvesting to achieve a higher chlorophyll content. Visually, this finely powdered tea is a light reed-green; once whisked into a froth, it reveals a rather robust character, offering full body and the astringency typical of authentic green tea. The brew, featuring moss-green hues, has a bold, fresh bouquet and a slight bitterness on the finish.
