Did you know how air-dried tea got its name?
Back in the 1960s, the idea arose to supply tea lovers with fresh and particularly aromatic teas as soon as possible after the winter break. Air-dried tea was particularly popular and was intended to reach consumers directly. Because the young buds are particularly delicate, they should be spared a lengthy and quality-degrading journey. Therefore, the first harvest was transported by plane rather than ship, which is how it got its name.
