Fairytale magic and gingerbread house. What could be nicer for the mind and body? Author Kathleen Beringer was culinary inspired by numerous fairy tales and specially created a delicious world based on the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The 60 recipes include sweet and salty dishes, some hearty, others vegetarian and light. Both children and adults will have fun exploring Grimm's culinary world.
But one thing is very clear: "The protagonists are not eaten!" Says Kathleen Beringer with a smile. She herself is the mother of two children and knows what it means to cook for the family. Because it should always be quick, but also good, healthy and balanced. With a lot of love for fresh products and an extraordinary feeling for simple cuisine, she has created true classics: soup with and with without sausages, fish in a salt crust, salads and pudding. Of course, a burger with french fries shouldn't be missing. There is guaranteed to be a lot for those with a sweet tooth.

The author
Born in France, Kathleen Beringer studied law in France and Great Britain. After completing her master's degree in corporate law, she studied interior design at New York's Parson's School of Design. She developed a great passion for cooking at an early stage and refined her know-how with extensive training as a chef. Kathleen Beringer is the author of several cookbooks (including Khmer Cuisine by Song Saa, Elsa Publishing, 2021) and lives with her family and a dog in Munich.
The photographer
Katrin Winner studied graphic design and photography. She found her professional fulfillment by combining her passion for good food with her artistic creativity and has since worked as a food photographer in Munich.
The illustrator
Rinah Lang lives and works with pencil, brush, scissors and mouse in Berlin. Her customers include A&W, Brigitte, DB mobil, Die Zeit, Eltern, GEO, Mercedes Benz customer magazine, NZZ, Scholz & Friends, Tim Mälzer.
