The story of Sir Elliott’s midnight blue
One pale blue morning, when the colours of the elderberries were glowing, Sir Elliott was enjoying a blueberry liqueur in his castle whilst listening to Dean Martin’s ‘Blue Moon’. Just then, a young man from the market called out to him: “Bellflowers! Delicious bellflowers! Freshly picked this morning! Straight from the garden!” Sir Elliott took another sip of his blueberry liqueur, put on his favourite Elvis Presley record, “Blue Suede Shoes”, and thought to himself: “I think I should get myself a royal blue coat – the colour seems to be all the rage at the moment!”
